Kathy Canesi
Controller

Kathy started working during her high school years at the original Kohr Bros Frozen Custard in Northfield, which later moved to the boardwalk and became an Ocean City staple. She went on to work in the casino industry in Atlantic City where she worked in administration for casino security. After giving up the dice, Kathy worked in administration at an accounting office, and during those years had her two beautiful boys, Jason and Jonathan, which she says are her greatest achievement. Kathy then held jobs in the accounting industry, in the business office of a nursing home and a sales rep for an assisted living home, and in the school district. She joined a home remodeling company and worked for a builder for 8 years before joining ClarkEdward. Kathy loves spending time with her 5 grandkids, cooking, baking, and traveling. Kathy brings industry experience, a can-do attitude, and a pleasant personality to ClarkEdward.
Samantha E Buskirk
Bookkeeper

Samantha started working in high school at an organic and natural food market. She then went on to work in customer service and the cash office within larger grocery stores. With cash handling and customer service experience, Samantha grew in retail banking over the last 14 years before changing career paths to join Clark Edward. Samantha and her husband have 4 children who keep them on the move with their in and out of school activities. When Samantha has some down time she enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing at Disney & Universal, crafting and reading.
Josh Meers
Project Manager

Josh is a project manager with Clark Edward Development. Josh was born and raised here in Cape May County. His background is in carpentry and he has ten plus years experience in the construction industry. He started his career as a framing contractor and quickly learned the aspects of what goes into the bones of a house. Then he made his move into a full scale frame to finish renovations and additions. There he learned to hone his critical thinking and problem solving skills. From there he transitioned into custom and high end finish carpentry. Where he learned to be extremely detail oriented and disciplined in his craft. His skill as a carpenter and all around knowledge of the construction process have translated well into his current position here with Clark Edward development. As a project manager he oversees all construction activity on the jobs sites, and manages correspondence between our clients, design team, subcontractors, and building officials on all activities related to the construction progress. Josh remains focused on his attention to detail throughout the construction process to ensure the highest quality and level of work.
Shane Thomson
Lead Carpenter

Shane is lead carpenter for Clark Edward Development. Born and raised in Atlantic county, Shane started his journey in the trades at an early age. Being on site on his father’s job-sites, he became a very skilled and disciplined hard worker. As he received on-site training from his mentor, Shane has grown into the carpenter he is today. Shane values integrity, discipline, and respect of others and carries these attributes into his role at Clark Edward Development daily. Shane is committed to the team and shows his ability to be versatile in any situation that might arise.
Nick Shallcross
Carpenter

Nick is an in-house carpenter for Clark Edward Development. He was born and raised in Ocean City NJ and graduated from Ocean City High School in 2021. Nick has always had an interest in how buildings are constructed and the process from dirt to finish. Straight out of high school, Nick joined the carpenters union and started to understand and see the process of building at a high level firsthand. After a year with the carpenters union, Nick decided to follow his roots and come back to the ocean. Since joining Clark Edward Development Nick has learned a variety of skills very useful to the process of building a home. Every day Nick strives to be better than the day before and use those around him for knowledge. Surrounded by a great team here at Clark Edward Development Nick hopes to perfect his craft in every way possible.
Everett Perry
Finance Manager

Everett joined the Clark Edward team in March 2022. Everett received his accounting degree from Rowan University through an internship program after attending West Virginia University for 3 years. He was a NJ licensed Certified Public Accountant from 1988 until December 2020 when he placed his CPA license in inactive status. Everett has 36 years of experience, 26 years in public accounting and 10 years as a controller. Seventeen years of the public accounting experience were with his own firm, and the controller positions were split between a building and development company, and an insurance agency. During his years of public accounting, he also owned and managed a manufacturing/service business. In his spare time, Everett enjoys spending time outdoors playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
